Parking Policy |
Parking Policy Driving: Please drive slowly and carefully on my street. There are both young children and elderly people living here. In the past, my neighbors have voiced their concerns about parents driving too fast. Except for the coldest and darkest days of winter, the children who live here enjoy playing on our street in the late afternoon, which coincides with Little Feet pick-up time. For reasons of safety and courtesy, I ask that you exercise both caution and consideration when driving on Greenough Circle, at all times. Strollers and bikes: We enthusiastically support traveling to Little Feet by stroller and bike. During inclement weather you will need a weatherproof cover for your vehicles, as there is no indoor space available for them. Parking: Because we live on a private, dead-end street, in the past there has been some confusion about where parents can and cannot park. My house is number 18. As you face my house, the green house on the left is number 16 and the white house to the right is number 17. We own a pie-shaped wedge of the cul-de-sac, defined by extending the fence between #16 and our house to the middle of the cul-de-sac, and a line up the middle of the street passing just to the left of the lamppost between our house and #17. Parking is available in this area. (See diagram on next page.) You may need to park in my driveway and/or behind one another. Please park in these spaces, with the front of your car facing the house, and ask for clarification should you need any. It is crucial that you be courteous to my neighbors, and be mindful not to block any neighbor’s driveway when tandem parking is necessary. *Please plan to park on Washington Street if your drop-off or pick-up will take more than ten minutes.
