Drop-Off / Pick-up Policy Drop-off is between 8:30 and 9:30. Pick-up is between 4:30 and 5:30.TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON - A NEW, LATER PICK-UP TIME STARTING IN THE FALL OF 2011 Our policy is that these times be strictly adhered to. Late drop-offs can be upsetting to the children who have just settled in for the day, and picking up in mid-afternoon is disruptive to naptime. Our guidelines are designed to provide all of the children with a sense of security and a restful afternoon. Having said this, you do have the right, as stated in the General Information section of this handbook, to drop in unannounced any time your child is at Little Feet. Below you will find instructions for making arrangements in exceptional circumstances. Is my child well enough for daycare today? If there is any question about your child’s health on a given day, always call Laurie to talk this over, before coming to Little Feet. Your child should be well enough to arrive on time, and be fever free, without fever reducing medication. He or she should be well enough to fully participate in our daily activities and routine. Refer to your health policy and always follow these guidelines. My child has a doctor’s appointment. How can we make this work? If your child is not in childcare four days a week, try to schedule check-ups and follow-up appointments on non-childcare days. Scheduling appointments at the beginning or end of the day is best if you need to make an appointment on a childcare day. Allowable drop-off and pick-up times under these circumstances are by 11:30 am for drop-off and after 3:30 pm for pick-up. What if our travel arrangements cause a scheduling glitch? Give us advance notice whenever possible. If you plane, train or automobile is delayed, call us as soon as you can get to a phone. If at all feasible, we will make special accommodation for these circumstances. Can early pick-up be arranged? As long as it is not during naptime, of course! Please inform the staff and let them know what time you plan to pick up your child.
